Intimate 3-Day Love Odyssey
Schedule & Pricing
Meals & Lodging
The cost of on-shore meals and lodging are not covered in the price of this odyssey cruise. Reservations for lodging at the bed and breakfast inns should be placed only after consultation with your captain. Prevailing weather considerations and route planning may limit the viability of some reservations. The captain will give you recommendations for dining on shore.
Cost = $2,290 per couple
The cost of this 3-Day Love Odyssey is $ 2,290 per couple. This covers the scheduled hours of the captained sailboat, dockage fees at ports and lunches on board. The total odyssey cost does not include lodging expenses at the on-shore bed and breakfast inns and meals in the on-shore restaurants. You will be directly responsible for these latter expenses when you receive the service.
Scheduling & Cancellations
This odyssey always starts early on a Friday morning and ends on the following Sunday late afternoon. It would be best for you to arrive in Oriental the day before and stay in one of the excellent bed and breakfast inns that are shown on the Oriental web page. You can visit the inn website to get contact information for your reservation. If you are traveling by air to New Bern Airport, the taxi ride takes about a half hour to Oriental. Dr. Kaye or Helen Kaye will pick you up from your bed and breakfast inn on the morning of your voyage.
In order to reserve your trip, please telephone Love Odyssey Charters in order to receive a service contract and to discuss possible trip dates. We will send you a service contract which you will need to read and sign. Your reservation is activated after you mail the signed contract back to us along with an initial check for half of the trip cost ( $1,145 ). The final payment for the remaining $1,145 is due no later than 7 days prior to the scheduled departure date. Without this final payment, the reservation will be cancelled and all payments will be refunded.
Weather Safety Policy
Any responsible mariner knows that safety of passengers and vessel is the highest priority. All preferred routes and destinations will be evaluated for safety by the captain before departure. At his sole discretion, the captain may determine that a route or destination change may be warranted due to projected weather or sea conditions. There may be some days when the captain might even determine that the weather is projected to be too hazardous to leave port. This is the inherent uncertainty when traveling so close to nature.
If a preferred route is revised by the captain, your preference for an alternate route will be given high priority. If the total number of days on the water is reduced from the planned trip because of safety, then a prorated portion of the boat-related costs for the missed portion of the trip shall be refunded to you at a rate of $ 100 per hour of on-the-water voyage time..
