5-Day Safe Passage
Meals & Lodging
The cost of on-shore meals and lodging are not covered in the price of this odyssey cruise. Reservations for lodging at the bed and breakfast inns should be placed only after consultation with your captain. Prevailing weather considerations and route planning may limit the viability of some reservations. The captain will give you recommendations for dining on shore.
Cost
The overall cost of your odyssey is determined by both your preferences as well as those of mother nature. Please call us to learn how we calculate the charges based on number of days on the water (4 to 8 hours per day) as well as number of counseling/coaching hours by Bryce and Helen Kaye. You can telephone us at 919 460 2516.
Payment & Cancellations
An initial check for $ 1,000 made out to Bryce Kaye & Associates is required at least one month in advance to reserve your Safe Passage Odyssey. An additional check for $3,000 must be received no later than 2 weeks prior to the scheduled departure or the odyssey will be cancelled.. Because Bryce and Helen Kaye will be keeping their schedules clear of patients in order to prioritize your odyssey, any late trip cancellation would cause them significant financial loss. For this reason, your initial two deposits will become unrefundable and forfeited if you cancel your trip for any reason within 2 weeks of your departure date. This contingency will be spelled out in your service contract. The purpose of this contingency is to protect against the considerable and real "opportunity cost" that such a late cancellation would inflict on the practices of both Bryce and Helen.
When the odyssey is completed, there will be a remaining balance due calculated from the total number of relationship coaching hours received and boating days on the water (4 to 8 hours per day). Please call for more details.
Scheduling
This odyssey always starts early on a Sunday morning and ends on the following Thursday late afternoon. It would be best for you to arrive in Oriental the day before and stay in one of the excellent bed and breakfast inns that are shown on the Oriental web page. You can visit the inn website to get contact information for your reservation. If you are traveling by air to New Bern Airport, the taxi ride takes about a half hour to Oriental. Dr. Kaye or Helen Kaye will pick you up from your bed and breakfast inn on the morning of your voyage..
Weather Safety Policy
Any responsible mariner knows that safety of passengers and vessel is the highest priority. All preferred routes and destinations will be evaluated for safety by the captain before departure. At his sole discretion, the captain may determine that a route or destination change may be warranted due to projected weather or sea conditions. There may be some days when the captain might even determine that the weather is projected to be too hazardous to leave port. This is the inherent uncertainty when traveling so close to nature.
If a preferred route is revised by the captain, your preference for an alternate route will be given high priority consideration.
