The 2-Day Love Odyssey
A Romantic Adventure

The 2-Day Love Odyssey is a romantic adventure for just the two of you. Your craft will be a luxury pilothouse sailboat built in Finland. First we will sail around the broad lower Neuse River and have lunch onboard in one of the scenic creeks. After lunch, we will sail up the Neuse River to New Bern and you can view the various sights on the river or shore from either the upper deck seating area or from the climate controlled pilothouse. Few sailboats have the capability of offering you both.
You will dock at the quaint historical town of New Bern. The bed and breakfast inns date back well into the 1800’s. The local restaurants serve fresh seafood and are excellent. We highly recommend that you choose one of the bed and breakfasts shown below. Your captain can recommend the finest restaurant choices. In New Bern, there is a civil war museum, a colonial era palace and a plethora of art and craft shops in town. On the second day of your odyssey, we will sail back down the Neuse River and then have lunch in another secluded creek off the Neuse. After that, it’s a short sail back to Oriental.
You will enjoy exploring all these things together. For more information about New Bern, visit its web page: Destination: New Bern .

Weather Safety Policy
Any responsible mariner knows that safety of passengers and vessel is the highest priority. All preferred routes and destinations will be evaluated for safety by the captain before departure. At his sole discretion, the captain may determine that a route or destination change may be warranted due to projected weather or sea conditions. There may be some days when the captain might even determine that the weather is projected to be too hazardous to leave port. This is the inherent uncertainty when traveling so close to nature.
If a preferred route is revised by the captain, your preference for an alternate route will be given high priority. If the total number of days on the water is reduced from the planned trip because of safety, then a prorated portion of the boat-related costs for the missed portion of the trip shall be refunded to you at a rate of $ 100 per hour of on-the-water voyage time.
